She's having a Girl!

My sister Rachel is pregnant with her first child and it is a GIRL! We are so so excited for her and Brian but sad that they live so far away. They were here a couple of weeks ago and we gave her a baby shower. She LOVES owls so that was the theme that we went with. Thanks so much to Patrice Madderra for all the cute owl decor. Patrice made all the owls that were used! We had a great time catching up with everyone. Rach got a TON of gift cards that she will be using to get everything that she still needs!

Last Day of School

Let's just say that the last week of school was a complete blur. I'm pretty sure that we were going non stop to all kids of different things. KaiLee's 5th grade class did a play on the Constitution. KaiLee and MaKayla both got awards at the End of the Year assembly and Delani graduated Pre-school. KaiLee got an award for perfect attendance. I don't know how she pulled that one off but we will take it. MaKayla got an award for being a standards master all year. That means that she got all 3's and 4's on her report cards the whole year! They did great! Delani is going to be in kindergarten but at Lake Hills still for her speech. KaiLee is going into MIDDLE school. I can't believe it and MaKayla will be in the 3rd grade. I will have 3 kids at 3 separate schools. Looks like it is going to be a crazy year next year but I can hardly wait!

Distinguished School!

Promenade was recognized as a "Distinguished School".
I finally found a muralist who is awesome and got it painted on the front and the back of the school!

This is what is painted on the back of the school! For some reason I can't seem to find the ones that I took of the front mural!

Primary Talent Show

This year as the one of the Primary Activities they hosted a Primary Talent Show. All 3 girls sang songs in it. MaKayla sang "The New Girl in Town" and Delani sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". They did GREAT! KaiLee and Lauren did a dance and sang to "Hairspray". They had a blast and i was so surprised at how they were not shy at all about it.

Promenade Jog-A-Thon

I HATE doing fundraisers at school. With that being said I know that, that is the ONLY way that the school can survive! As the new PTO president to Promenade I wanted to try something different just to see how it would work. We had a Jog-a-Thon. We did it in a 3 week period to see how it would run. It was great within that 3 week period the students raised over $3000.00. We decided as a board that this was going to be our annual fundraiser! We hope that we have more of a success when we have a longer time to do it!
I know we will!

Easter

My Mom decorated this table isn't it pretty!
We had a great Easter this year. For the past 10 years we have stayed the night at my parents house. The Easter Bunny comes there and hides the eggs and the girls baskets. This year we did things a little different. The Easter bunny came to our house and the girls had to find their baskets and eggs. We went to my parents ward and then came back to their house for a yummy dinner. My Mom and Dad hid 95 eggs for the kids (plastic ones filled with candy). Mom made each of them their own special basket and they had 2 eggs that had their names on them. The eggs that had their names on them had a ticket for a special outing with Papa and Nana. One to spend the night by themselves without their sisters and the other one to get take out to have ice cream. They were all really excited. This was the 1st year (I think) that Brett and Melissa lived close by so we decided to dress all the kids in matching outfits. They looked so cute. We tried to get a good picture but as you can see Tavin was not having any part of that! This is the girls watching Tavin have a melt down! The kids with Nana and Papa getting ready to look for their Easter Eggs!

Pre-School Field Trip

Delani's preschool class went to visit the farm at Norte Vista High school as a field trip. There were a ton of animals there that they got to pet and feed. They even got to sheer a sheep. Delani's favorite part of course was not any of the animals, but getting to ride on a BIG bus to the school.
