On Saturday Riverside Community Hospital had its 2nd Annual NICU reunion. It's is crazy to think that it has been 3 1/2 years since Delani was there. It was exciting to see some of the nurses that were there when she was in the hospital. The main nurse that took care of her has since moved back east so that was a little disappointing. But we got to talk to some of the other nurses that took care of her and also the physical therapist was there. I am so amazed at the dedication of these people. They seem to remember every one's names and faces. They work crazy hours to help the little infants that need them so much. We are ever so grateful for them and could never express how grateful we are for them. They will always be part of our family. At the reunion they have food and tons of games and things for the kids to do. They are set up carnival style and the kids can play as many as they want. I think the best part was that the girls always got a prize even if they did not win. They had face painting which the girls loved and they even had a clown there doing balloon animals. We had a great day and the girls had a blast. We look forward to the next one. We really appreciate the Hospital and its staff.
